What is Autism? 

Autism is a complex developmental disability.  Autism is typically diagnosed around the age of three.  Autism affects the development of the brain in the areas of communication and social interaction.  Children and adults with autism normally have difficulties in non-verbal and verbal communication, play activities and social interactions.  Autism makes it difficult for individuals to communicate with others and relate to the rest of the world.
